Fallout 4 has some of the most interesting quests in a Fallout game that fans have ever experienced. They come in all different varieties, and lots of the missions are incredibly odd and difficult to complete. Weird and wonderful characters are not in short supply in this game.
This list will cover some quests that players had difficulty completing because of their weird nature. From eternal life to a flying ship, here are ten ridiculous quests in Fallout 4 that players will not soon forget!
10 The Silver Shroud
This quest has a distinct superhero theme that helps it stand out from all the other side quests in the game. There are few quests in the game that have a theme about them more unique than the Silver Shroud, which is why the quest deserves a spot on this list.
The quest has the player completing tasks for a Ghoul who’s quite the character, which is fitting for a quest like this one. It’s also somewhat difficult because of all the strong enemies that players have to face while trying to save the day from evil.
9 The Cabot House Questline
The Cabot House has a total of three quests for players to complete. It’s a very weird questline because of all the secrecy surrounding the Cabot family characters. Most players never even discover the crazy family and their plot.
If players choose to help Jack with his tasks, then they eventually will get a strong reward. However, if they help his father escape later on in the questline, then they may get the exciting chance to live forever, which is something that everyone seeks!
8 Automatron
The Automatron DLC added lots of new interesting mechanics for players to play around with, such as robot companions. The questline was short, but it still had a few hours worth of content to complete.
The quests have the player adventuring across the wasteland to different facilities and fighting robots. The questline for this robot expansion is one of the best in the game, and it deserves its place on this list.
7 Blowing Up The Prydwen
The Prydwen is hard to miss for anybody that looks up at the sky. It’s a giant airship, and players even get the chance to visit it depending on which faction they side with during the main story of the game.
During both the Railroad and the Institute questline, the player gets the chance to blow the ship out of the sky, killing everyone in it and destroying the base. Even the Minutemen have the option for the player to do this, and the scene is surreal.
6 Diamond City Blues
This side quest is one of the most notable in Diamond City because of everything it involves. There’s a bunch of characters creating chems to sell, and the player can steal the drugs for themselves if they so desire.
There are lots of interesting characters in this quest, and it all starts because some guy is jealous of another guy that happens to be stealing his wife away from him. Players should complete this quest if they get the chance because it’s really fun, and it adds a breath of fresh air to a sea of very similar and boring side quests.
5 Here There Be Monsters
Ghouls operating Chinese subs, what will Bethesda think of next? This mission has players exploring an old war submarine with a ghoul inside that worked for the Chinese army before the bombs fell.
He’s still alive after all this time and he seems alright despite the fact that he’s a ghoul. A lot of players miss this quest because it’s hidden underwater and hard to find. It’s definitely not a quest to pass up for adventurers of the wasteland that like to explore old ruins.
4 Kid In A Fridge
A ghoulish kid had never been seen in the Fallout universe, and then came this quest. Players can find Billy in a Fridge where he’s been trapped for hundreds of years without any contact from another human.
He turned into a ghoul after the bombs dropped, and he was only about ten years old. He can eventually meet back up with his parents, who have been worried sick about him or players can be evil and sell him to a slaver. Regardless of the player’s choice, this quest is truly bizzare.
3 The Nuka-World Questline
The entire Nuka-World questline is full of variety and interesting locations. From an old western attraction to a safari zone, players can explore many different areas that are all equally ridiculous.
There are even some functional rides to enjoy, which is just another reason that this DLC is worth it. The quests in this expansion are rivaled by few others in the base game, and every player should complete it if they have the DLC.
2 Blowing Up The Institute
Blowing up the Institute’s headquarters is a task that will be completed if the player sides with any faction other than the scientists themselves. The quest changes a bit depending on which faction the player sides with, but it’s all basically the same in the end; it blows up!
The explosion leaves the ground below with a giant crater, and the blast itself is amazing to watch. It’s a fun quest with few that are more interesting in the game, and that’s why it deserves its high spot on this list.
1 U.S.S. Constitution
The U.S.S. Constitution is an old-world ship that players can explore in the Commonwealth. It’s amazing that it’s still around, and that is in part due to the robots that have managed to maintain it for hundreds of years. The robot characters in this quest are some of the best NPCs in the game.
This quest is difficult because of all the enemies that players have to fight to complete it, and it’s bizzare because of the ship itself. Players can even launch the boat through the air if they desire, how cool is that?
