Bethesda releases the final video in its seven part series explaining Fallout 4’s S.P.E.C.I.A.L. statistics system, with today’s footage explaining Luck.
Fallout 4’s video-based advertising campaign for the game’s S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat tree system has officially run its course, and clarifies why Luck is an important factor to account for in order to survive the game’s harsh nuclear wilds. For those unaware, the primary stat generally measures a player’s good fortunes, allowing for a higher chance of better loot to be found, as well as creating the prospect of more critical hits in combat.
As with previous entries in the Fallout 4 marketing series, Bethesda’s latest offering depicts a cutesy, hapless Vault Boy learning from his mistakes after being maimed, mashed, and utterly mutilated by the dangerous elements of the wasteland. As seen in the video below, the game’s mascot battles giant insects that appear to be Radroaches, and is given a hand by Lady Luck, as well as the Mysterious Stranger, which happens to be one of our favorite perks in the franchise thus far.
Today officially marks the final entry for the Fallout 4 promotional videos, as the Luck clip covers the last letter in the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. acronym. Over the course of several weeks, we’ve seen “S” for Strength, “P” for Perception, “E” for Endurance, “C” for Charisma, “I” for Intelligence, and “A” for Agility.
Fallout 4 is set to release on November 10, 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
