It’s hard to believe that it’s already been around two and a half years since Fallout 4 first launched. The game’s release came just a few short months after its surprise reveal and, despite some complaints about the changes to the dialogue system, the title was an instant game of the year contender. Although most gamers have likely already put dozens (or hundreds) of hours into Fallout 4 at this point, anyone who hasn’t is about to get a free taste.
This week Steam will be offering a free weekend of Fallout 4 for PC gamers. The special promotion kicks off on Thursday, February 1 and runs through Sunday, February 4. For PC owners who haven’t played the game yet, or maybe only played it on console, this is the perfect opportunity to explore post-apocalyptic Boston.
Once gamers get hooked during the free weekend, Steam also has a special sale running for those players who decide three days wasn’t enough time in the game. The main game will be available at a 33% discount, the Fallout 4 Game of the Year Edition and all DLC will be 40% off. In addition to those deals, completionists can also pick up the season pass at an impressive 50% discount.
Thanks to the endless entertaining mods, Fallout 4 on the PC is an experiene that is likely to keep players busy for years to come. If you haven’t given the title a shot yet, we highly recommend not passing up this opportunity.
Fallout 4 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
