Season one of Fall Guys, the new Battle Royale from Mediatonic and Devolver Digital is well underway, with a much larger audience than the developers, the beta fanbase, and even the publisher ever expected. And, one of the reasons this game is so popular is due to its adorable charm and bright neon style.
Everything is so colorful and the characters look so dorky, which is made even better by the wide range of costumes, skins, and patterns. Both fortunately and unfortunately, the full list of inaugural season cosmetics was unearthed via a data-mine by fans, so we can look at a comprehensive list of everything currently in the game and talk about the best of the best.
Spoilers ahead for future costumes to be released in season one, so be wary!
10 The Fast Food Pack
Starting things off with the costumes that cost a bit of real-world change, the Fast Food DLC Cosmetics Pack for Fall Guys includes three different costumes, and, since they cost actual cash and aren’t accessible any other way, it felt fair to give them only one entry rather than three.
All three of these costumes go above and beyond to make the Fall Guy look like an adorable fast-food mascot, with a burger, shake, and a pack of fries each with their own top and bottom. We’ve seen, thanks to the data-mine, that there are alternate colors for each which should eventually pop up in the shop, but, for now, chasing around a cute little burger to steal its tail is enough—even if the mini-game itself is one of the worst.
9 The Enter The Gungeon Bullet-kin
We don’t want to harp on spoilers too much, so we’ll get the two crossover costumes out of the way first. There are a fair amount of upcoming crossovers with other series, and the game has already had a few such as the Hotline Miami one, the Alyx skin, the Gordon Freeman skin that comes with the Collector’s Edition, and the TF2 Scout Skin that just left the store.
But, this one is different. This costume is specifically from a game that shares the same publisher, Devolver Digital. It’s one of the best roguelikes out there, Enter The Gungeon. The Bullet-Kin from EtG so perfectly matches the shape of a Fall Guy that this costume was almost assuredly going to show up at some point, and, as expected, it looks great. Since the leak was correct in that it would show up on August 16th, players can expect the Portal 2 crossover rumors to be correct, as well.
8 The Portal 2 Peabody
Unfortunately, this is one of the ones we couldn’t find any in-game representation for, as the Crossover hasn’t happened yet. The Peabody costume is obviously a reference to Portal 2, as it seems like the Fall Guys are going through all the Valve/Steam Giants to show appreciation to the company for hosting their game on their marketplace or something.
As far as beloved pill-shaped characters go, Peabody from Portal 2 was a pretty perfect choice. Obviously, Peabody was a bit more tear-shaped in Portal 2, but the costume still reads crystal clear in this and fans are grinding crowns out early—with some great final round strategies—in anticipation for it showing up in the shop.
7 Some Rainbow & Banana Water
Getting off the unseen/unreleased costumes, the Banana or Rainbow Can costumes are just another perfect way to make the Fall Guy look absurd while they trip over other players or get crushed by fruit. Speaking of fruit, it seems like its a theme for the game as Fruit Chute, Perfect Match, and now this costume all have a fruit theme.
It makes sense, as these natural sugar-filled snacks are also known for being so bright and colorful. In any case, this can Costume is incredibly well modeled, and the only downside is finding the top or bottom half in the shop by itself and having to wait days or weeks until the other part of it pops up.
6 Meet The Knockout Champ
We don’t want to make generalizations or assume anything about people, but, in our experience with Fall Guys, usually, the ones wearing this Boxing Headgear outfit are the ones trying to push people off and mess with others.
But, the costume itself does absolutely exude a sort of “I know what I’m doing” energy, so that makes sense that they would. Plus, the Champ variation, which we haven’t seen much of, looks even more professional with bright golden gloves.
5 We Need A Hero (Or A Vigilante?)
Something about seeing this dweeby little Bean-shaped character diving forward, arms outstretched, in what looks like a kids superhero Halloween costume just makes us giggle every time. The Hero costume is just that, it makes the Fall Guy look like a caped crusader, complete with a little hair tuft. This one is something special because there’s also a “Vigilante” costume that we couldn’t find in-game footage of yet that inverts the color scheme to make things a bit more Batman-esque.
4 Those Fire Pants Deep-Sea Diver Or Its Fishtank
This next one is a bit of a unique case because, frankly, people don’t seem to be huge fans of the diving helmet part of this costume. The real winner is the lower section of it, making the stomach area of the Fall Guy into a see-through aquarium that just looks really neat.
In any case, this costume is great, but it could’ve easily been better if they had made the top half like a see-through fishbowl, as well, as it is now the two halves just don’t match up all that much.
3 The Wizard & The Sorcerer
People might be wondering why there aren’t any of the dinosaur, wolf, avian, or dragon costumes on this list, and there’s a reason for that. Honestly, they all kind of blend together as either long-necked goofy looking animal hats or cool ideas that could’ve taken it just a step further. The Wizard, on the other hand, could’ve easily just been a costume with a beard or a simple Mickey Mouse Fantasia-esque hat.
Instead, it comes with the iconic wizardly hat, the glasses, the Dumbledore beard, and the robe. It’s a perfect example of taking a neat idea just far enough, though the Sorcerer variant offers very little change.
2 A Brave Paladin & Their Rival Dark Knight
On the other end of Wizardry is Knighthood, and one of the most requested costumes in the Beta phase, was a knight outfit. Thanks to the data-mine, we now know that those requests became reality, and a Paladin/Dark Knight Costume is in the game, complete with helmet, pauldrons, waist armor, and a cool little scarf.
Honestly, a lot of fans wish that the helmet could’ve completely covered the Fall Guy face, but this is a game about looking silly, not cool, and the helmet sitting on top of this bean head matches the aesthetic way more closely.
1 The Fiesty Dwarf Or The Elder Dwarf
Finally, we’ll keep the fantasy/Medieval theme going with the last costume on this list, the Fiesty Dwarf. There’s a red beard version, and a gray beard variant, both of which seem like perfect tops that would match with more than just their assigned bottoms. For example, the Fiesty Dwarf Top and Black Knight Bottom seem like they would work perfectly together to make a Fall Guy seem like a Dwarf Warrior about to head into battle…. against rampaging fruit and unforgiving games of Soccer.
