Fall Guys season 2 brought fans a medieval themed bash full of new levels, outfits, and features, but the developers at Mediatonic plan for season 3 to be even bigger. This news comes directly from Oliver Hindle, the community manager for the game and main point of contact for fans. In his Reddit post, Hindle confirms that the dev team is confident that season 3 will be bigger than season 2.
For those that haven’t been keeping up with Fall Guys of late, season 2 was generally well received. Despite this, there were some that bemoaned its lack of new levels, as it only introduced four new maps to the list of available contests. The mid season update releasing today rectifies some of this issue, as it introduces a new level and yet more features, but fans still want to see more.
At the time of writing, there’s no word about what Fall Guys season 3’s theme will be or when fans can expect it to launch. Hindle also wasn’t clear on just what bigger means, though he did confirm that there will be more new levels as the team at Mediatonic is growing rapidly.
More than anything, this influx of developers to the team as a result of the hiring spree should result in the game getting much better faster. With more power on its team, Mediatonic will be able to aim for much loftier goals than it could have with its previous size. It’s likely that players will start seeing the effects of this in season 3, but it could continue well beyond that.
Fall Guys is available now on PC and PS4.
