From powerful team attacks inspired by popular Disney park attractions to the incorporation of a more open-world system for Gummi Ship navigation, Kingdom Hearts 3 promised players a slew of new mechanics and features to make the gameplay more memorable than just fighting Hearthless, Nobodies, and Unversed. One of the biggest, and often overlooked additions to the gameplay happens to be the inclusion of Classic Kingdom games, which are two-dimensional minigames based on popular 8-bit 80s classics.
While many of them are pretty easy to collect, players will have to put in a little extra effort to gather all 23. Fortunately, their locations are now common knowledge, and players might be surprised to find out that it may not take them any time at all to collect the Classic Kingdom games they might’ve missed during their most recent playthrough.
23 Giant Land
The Classic Kingdom game known as Giant Land will undoubtedly be the easiest for players to collect.
It’ll automatically be added to their stock after their first visit to Twilight Town, which comes pretty early in the main story.
22 Mickey, The Mail Pilot
The next Classic Kingdom game can also be found in Twilight Town at the Tram Common, which is the area in Twilight Town fans will spend the most time in within this game.
Inspecting the green bulletin board will award players this game after they fulfill their first visit to Twilight Town.
21 The Musical Farmer
Players can receive this Classic Kingdom game at the same time (and place) as Mickey, the Mail Pilot, thus saving completionists valuable minutes of time.
20 Building A Building
After players have completed their adventure in the 100 Acre Woods, a new poster will appear on the bulletin board in Twilight Town that will award them with Building A Building, which ironically doesn’t involve building much of anything.
19 The Mad Doctor
The Mad Doctor is earned the same way that Building A Building is, proving that the 100 Acre Woods isn’t a completely useless stage for more action-oriented players!
18 Mickey Cuts Up
It makes sense that Galaxy Toys, the toy store that becomes the primary battlefield at the Toy Story-inspired world of Toy Box, is home to several Classic Kingdom games.
Players can find Mickey Cuts Up by riding the green rail above the Space Capsule dispenser all the way to a dead-end, where they’ll find the game tucked away in a large chest.
17 Taxi Troubles
In the lower vents of the mall, there’s a save point that’s impossible to miss.
Right across from that save point is a treasure chest carrying TaxiTroubles, which is not only just as impossible to miss, but also irresistible even for players who sometimes skip save points during their second playthroughs.
16 The Barnyard Battle
There’s a memorable area in Galaxy Toys where players were forced to build an image of the famed Final Fantasy creature Cactuar in order to progress.
But before they get too ahead of themselves, they’ll find a white, green, and yellow tube in this location that they must slide down before heading through a blue, white, and yellow tube that will lead them straight to a chamber with the chest containing The Barnyard Battle.
15 Camping Out
It makes sense that the Classic Kingdom game Camping Out would be found in the Kingdom of Corona, a level that takes place primarily outdoors. Near the area that players start this level at, they’ll find two boulders.
Beyond these boulders is a small cave that might be filled with a few pipsqueak Heartless that are the only thing standing in between Sora and a chest with this outdoorsy Classic Kingdom collectible.
14 The Wayward Canary
At the Wildfire Clearing save point at the Kingdom of Corona, there should be a chest far in the distance that players can head straight over to.
It’s underneath a tree on a low cliff that can be reached with a simple jump.
13 The Karnival Kid
At the actual fair in the village, players should make sure they take the time to explore the scenery.
It’d be hard to miss a group of people standing around a big chest containing The Karnival Kid.
12 How To Play Golf
At The Factory in Monstropolis, players will be forced to take an elevator from the ground floor to the second floor. After getting out of the elevator, players should progress through the hallway and all of its twists and turns.
When they arrive to the room with two conveyor belts, following the belt on the left should lead them to an area with a long drop in the floor. After their descent, they’ll be able to play some golf to their heart’s content.
11 Mickey’s Circus
This Classic Kingdom should be among one of the ones more easily found. It’s in a chest directly across from the save point at the Tank Yard in Monstropolis.
The only catch is that the chest itself is underneath a red crate, which can be broken by riding the crane and jumping off it to deliver a devastating smash attack.
10 Barnyard Sports
If players climb the wall opposite the save point at the Labyrinth of Ice’s Lower Tier, they should find Barnyard Sports in a treasure chest within a small room.
9 The Klondike Kid
After finally escaping Elsa’s Labyrinth of Ice, players should head down a steep gorge, smashing a rock to pieces and revealing the chest that carries The Klondike Kid.
8 Mickey’s Kitten Catch
After the battle with Marshmallow in the Snowfield, players should head north.
Eventually, they’ll see a giant rock that hides a large treasure chest containing this valuable bounty.
7 Fishin’ Frenzy
After arriving to the Huddled Isles in The Caribbean, players should dive underwater to reach the Undersea Cavern area.
Fishin’ Frenzy is located in a chest at a dead end within the cavern, so players will be on a bit of a frenzy themselves to locate it.
6 Mickey’s Prison Escape
While exploring Port Royal, players will find a Fort that contains a chest with Mickey’s Prison Escape.
5 Beach Party
Once they’re able to take control of The Leviathan and sail the seas of The Caribbean, players will be able to attain Beach Party by sailing to Confinement Island.
Though it may seem daunting to locate the chest, it’s pretty much a straight-shot after walking through that intimidating stone arch.
4 Cast Out To Sea
As if players didn’t enjoy island-hopping enough, heading to Isla Verdemontana will bring them to the chest holding this Classic Kingdom so long as they stick to the shoreline.
