Each Thursday the Epic Games Store unlocks a new free game for users of the storefront to own and play and this week is no different. Today the Epic Games Store doubled up, unlocking two new free games. And just as exciting, the EGS also revealed that next wee three new free games will be available.
This week’s games, which will be available for seven days, are the dungeon crawler Next Up Hero and investigative adventure game Tacoma. Next Up Hero tasks players with completing gauntlet-like dungeons to earn gear and loot. Players can even design their own dungeons. In Tacoma, a mysterious tragedy has befallen a corporate space station. It’s up to the player to discover what happened and what comes next.
The Epic Games Store also revealed that next week users will have access to three new games total. Next week’s games are 20XX, a roguelike action platformer heavily inspired by Mega Man X, Barony, a first-person roguelike RPG, and the musically-driven action-adventure Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP.
Next Up Hero and Tacoma will be available to Epic Games Store users for the next seven days, availability ending July 30 at 8:00 am PT. 20XX, Barony, and Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP will unlock as the previous games’ availability expires.
Expect more Epic Games Store free games throughout the summer, as Epic’s shown no intention of stopping.
