Skyshards are hidden across every zone in The Elder Scrolls Online, and the Greymoor expansion is no exception. There are 18 Skyshards across Western Skyrim and the Blackreach Caverns, which was also introduced in Greymoor.

When you collect three Skyshards, you are granted a skill point. This guide will cover how to find all 18 of the Skyshards in Western Skyrim, so that you can get six extra skill points for your character. They will help you regardless of whether you are an Elder Scrolls Online veteran, or a newcomer to the MMO.

How To Find Every Skyshard In Western Skyrim

There are 18 Skyshards across Western Skyrim in total. You can find hints for each Skyshard in the map completion section, which you can find on the left of the map screen. The following locations are listed in the same order as the Western Skyrim Skyshard hints.

How To Find The Lightless Hollow Waterfall Skyshard

To find the Lightless Hollow Waterfall, you must delve into the Blackreach Caverns. You can access Blackreach using various lifts scattered around Western Skyrim. There is a lift found East of Morthal that takes you straight to the Lightless Hollow, but you can get to the waterfall from any entrance.

When you enter Blackreach, head to the right side of the map and find the Lightless Hollow Wayshrine. From the Wayshrine, take the path East that leads around to a body of water on the map. At the end of this path, you will find a pool that forms the top of the waterfall. The Skyshard is found in this pool.

How To Find The Dark Moon Grotto Skyshard

Go back to the Lightless Hollow Wayshrine. When there, head West until you find a lady named Alwyn, who is cowering at the entrance to Dark Moon Grotto. To her right, there is a set of ladders that lead into the delve. Go inside and check your map.

On the right side of the dungeon, there are three pools of water. Two are next to each other, whilst the third is in the next chamber along. Make your way through the dungeon to the third pool, where you will find a single Wispmother. The Skyshard is located on the left side of this pool.

How To Find The Greymoor Keep Skyshard

Once again, go back to the Lightless Hollow Wayshrine. This time, go North-East to a doorway that leads to another section of the Blackreach Caverns. When you enter, check your map. The path that you are on leads towards lots of thin pools of lava.

Where the path widens into the Cavern at the end, there is a river of lava just outside of the Greymoor Keep wall. The Skyshard is on the other side of this lava, on top of a rock.

How To Find The Dusktown Storm Skyshard

Still in Blackreach, this time you need to head down to Dusktown. You should have the Dusktown Wayshrine unlocked, so fast travel straight to that. From there, go to the East side of Dusktown.

You will eventually see the Dwarf’s Bane Ritual Site pop up on your compass. The Skyshard is found on a rock on the South side of the Ritual Site.

How To Find The Circle Of Champions Skyshard

Despite sounding rather positive, the Circle of Champions is a boss location in Western Skyrim, home to Skreg the Undefeatable. You’ll need to do the impossible and defeat him to access his watchtower, where you’ll find the Skyshard at the top.

If you haven’t discovered the Circle of Champions already, it can be found by following the river South-West from Dragon Bridge.

How To Find The Storm-Hawk’s Altar Skyshard

Storm-Hawk’s Altar is found on the South-East side of Solitude. However, you can’t get there from inside the city. Instead, leave by the main gates and go down to the docks.

From there, cross the river and follow the edge of the city around until you find the altar. The Skyshard is slightly North of the altar’s map marker, below Solitude’s highest point.

How To Find The Jarl Olfwenn’s Hall Skyshard

Jarl Olfwenn’s Hall is an unmarked location in Western Skyrim, which makes this Skyshard rather hard to find.

However, if you head West from the town of Karthwatch, you will quickly come across the Jarl’s house, which is covered in a red mist. Go behind the hall and start climbing the rocks to the right. You will see the Skyshard’s light beam reaching upwards from on top of the rocks.

How To Find The Morthal Skyshard

The Morthal Skyshard is quite far South of Morthal, so start by making your way to the town. Once you arrive there, follow the road South. When it splits, turn right and open your map.

Find the rocky patch South of the road on the map and head there. You’ll find the Skyshard in between two stone pillars on a circular platform in the mountain.

How To Find The Dragon’s Belly Skyshard

The hint for this Skyshard is “By The Dragon’s Belly”, which offers very little in the way of guidance. The Dragon’s Belly is a crafting set camp found West of the Deepwood Vale Wayshrine.

The Skyshard is found in the ruins overlooking the camp. To get into the ruins, simply make your way past the camp and over to the stone structure. Once inside, go up the stairs and onto the upper walkways to find the Skyshard.

How To Find The Hunter’s House Skyshard

The rumor for the Hunter’s House Skyshard directs you to find an altar nearby. However, this altar is actually quite far from the Hunter’s House, so don’t waste too much time looking there.

Head East from the Hunter’s House to find a camp that is overrun with werewolves and bandits. The Skyshard is on a rock overlooking the camp, directly opposite the watchtower. You can also find this camp by going West from Morthal and continuing past the Hjallmarch Great Lift.

How To Find The Labyrinthian Skyshard

The Labyrinthian is a Dungeon found on the road between Morthal and the Hailstone Valley Ritual Site. When you enter the dungeon, take the first flight of stairs and then continue down the path ahead.

Eventually, you’ll come to a large mound that you can enter. You will see the Skyshard’s beam coming through the roof. Go inside to find the Skyshard in a smashed urn.

How To Find The Nchuthnkarst Skyshard

Go back to the Dwarf’s Bane Ritual Site in Blackreach. There is an elevator here leading to Nchtunkarst, which is another area of Blackreach. Head past Kireth Vanos and take the lift down to the dungeon.

Fight your way through the dungeon until you find the Clockwork Criterion in the circular chamber on the right side of the map. From here, head down the stairs to the left, where you will find a bridge guarded by two Dwarven Centurions. The Skyshard is located just past the Centurions.

How To Find The Chillwind Depths Skyshard

Chillwind Depths is a Delve found near a waterfall to the East of Karthwatch. When you go inside, proceed towards the bear and turn left. Pass through the body of water up ahead and take the tunnel leading left at the end. This will take you to the Eastern side of Chillwind Depths.

As you approach another body of water, look left to find some spider webs that you can walk through. This path is well hidden, so pay attention. Go through the spider webs and follow the secret path up to the Skyshard.

How To Find The Dragonhome Skyshard

Dragonhome is a dungeon filled with Dragon Cultists, found on the West side of Skyrim. At the entrance, you’ll find a talking doll that wants its real body back. When you go inside, start by following the path that leads outside.

You will find yourself on the side of a large chasm. There are multiple bridges across, but you need to take the lowest one on the map. Once you are on the other side, look up and take note of the altar above that overlooks the chasm. Now, follow the tunnel around until you are on that altar. You will find the Skyshard in the corner.

How To Find The Frozen Coast Skyshard

The Frozen Coast is a location in the North-East of Skyrim. However, it is also the name of a Delve which you will need to enter to find this Skyshard. Follow the dotted path on your map into the Frozen Coast and then proceed North until you find the boat on the shore. Hop inside to travel to the Frozen Coast Delve.

This delve is very big, so it’s easy to get lost. When you enter, follow the path up until you reach the fork in the road. Turn right and continue along the path. As soon as you can, turn right again and drop into the water.

Then, jump up the rock to your left and proceed down the passageway, turning left again when you can. This leads you up onto the top of some rocky mountains. Jump across the gap ahead to find the Skyshard hidden in a corner.

How To Find The Midnight Barrow Skyshard

In Blackreach, head back to Dusktown. From there, head West until you find the entrance to Midnight Barrow. This takes you into the next section of Blackreach. When you appear, check your map.

Go towards the Colossus Charging Station and continue West past it, towards the entrance to Arkthzand Cavern. You will cross a small Wispmother pool just before the large door that’s guarded by Dwarven defenses.

In the pool, near where the Wispmother wanders, there is a small path leading out of the water. Follow this path to find the Skyshard.

How To Find The Shadowgreen Skyshard

Shadowgreen is a dungeon in Western Skyrim, found just North of Solitude. Outside, you will find an NPC named Rafellion, who asks you to extinguish some fires in the dungeon. Head inside and follow the path to the left, which leads deeper into the dungeon.

At the end of this path, turn right and go down the next tunnel, which leads back in the direction you came. This path takes you back to the entrance chamber, but you will be a level higher. You will find the Skyshard at the end of this tunnel, on a cliff to the right.

How To Find The Scraps Skyshard

The final Skyshard takes you back to Blackreach. On the West side of the map of the Blackreach Caverns, there is a dungeon called The Scraps. Head inside to locate the final Skyshard. Upon entry, take the path right into the first large chamber.

There is a path on the map that seems to lead around to the room with the Skyshard, but this is actually a ledge that you can’t climb. Instead, head North into the next chamber. Then, follow the path to the right that leads you through some Dwarven tunnels. Eventually, you will reach a large room where a Dwarven Centurion spawns. Look right as you walk in to see a doorway leading to the final Skyshard.
