The next campaign book for Dungeons and Dragons has reportedly leaked, according to a post uploaded yesterday to the Subreddit r/DnDNext.
As you’ll see by clicking that link, however, the original post has since been deleted, unsurprisingly. But because the Internet is a resilient thing, you can still at least see this screenshot someone managed to salvage from the video in question.
The screenshot depicts an alleged book cover for what is believed to be the next campaign book for D&D, entitled Icewind Dale – Rime of the Frostmaiden. The screenshot apparently has its origins in a video that was uploaded to the official D&D Beyond YouTube channel yesterday.
According to the aforementioned Reddit post, said video was in fact a trailer for this supposed next campaign book but was taken down pretty much immediately being uploaded. Now we’re just left with this tantalizing but lonely screenshot and a whole lotta unanswered questions.
It is getting a lot of people excited, though. Rumors and conjectures have been floating around for a while about the potential setting for the next campaign book taking place somewhere snowy, and that book cover screenshot shows one snowy-ass setting. Time will soon tell, no doubt.
