Even though Dungeon Defenders: Awakened presented a slew of problems in the initial stages of being available in Steam Early Access, the game is already making its way out for a full release.

Dungeon Defenders: Awakened will officially leave Early Access and be fully available on May 28th, bringing with it new content, including new bosses and game modes.

Dungeon Defenders: Awakened features co-op tower defense gameplay mixed with elements of action RPG combat as players work together to take on never-ending hordes of orcs, dark elves, goblins, demons, and dragons. Players can take on the roles of Squire, Huntress, Apprentice, and Monk as they defend their tower while snagging loot and weapons along the way. In addition, players can customize their characters and loadouts while deciding on when and where to build their towers.

In our preview of the game, calling the first days of the Early Access version a “rough launch” seems to have been putting it nicely, given the number of bugs and technical issues that plagued the game.

Thankfully, the game has received a slew of patches in preparation for the full release, so, hopefully, the full version of Dungeon Defenders: Awakened will be game that fans of the series are expecting it to be.
