Thanks to Goat Simulator, games with the word “simulator” in the title have become something of a joke. A few still aim to replicate the chosen job or lifestyle with pinpoint accuracy, but many just slap a silly setting or characters onto an exaggerated physics engine for the lulz. Drug Dealer Simulator is by no means a thoughtful reflection on the effects of introducing drugs into a neighborhood, but it’s more put together than its overall look suggests.

You can probably guess the core gameplay of Drug Dealer Simulator. You can give prospective “clients” freebies to get them hooked and avoid police who can stop and frisk you at any time. But there’s a couple thoughtful choices that go beyond the novelty of “hehe I do crime!”

One of the interesting aspects is that you can mix your own drugs and even give them ridiculous street names. PC Gamer mixed their amphetamines with baking soda, upping their profit per unit. But would the buyer notice? They didn’t for PC Gamer, but they also didn’t seem to play too long. Meanwhile, Rock Paper Shotgun became enamored with the terribly rendered and voiced NPCs. Sometimes a game looks better when it’s not pretty.

If any of that ridiculousness sounds like something you want to take a hit of, Drug Dealer Simulator is now available on Steam.
