Zevran is a fan-favorite from Dragon Age Origins. He is an assassin sent after you and your party members. Once defeated though, he offers to join you. He is quite the flirt, so it can be a little hard to say no to his puppy-eyes.

As you get to know him, Zevran is a much more complex character. He had a hard life and has many stories to share from his different assassinations to his regrets.

He has inspired a ton of fan art. Hopefully you like crow imagery! Also, check out the links to the artists. They deserve credit for their work.

10 Warden Mage And Zevran

A great part of Origins is getting to pick the backstory and race of your character. According to the artist, the women in this picture is from the mage backstory. The dress is already a bit of a giveaway for those who are fans of mage fashion. Zevran is available as a romance option no matter your characters’ race, gender, or background.

The art was made by Smilika. She has also done fan art for Baldur’s Gate and Mass Effect.

9 Moon And Crows

Zevran is part of the Antivan Crows, a guild of assassins that are well-known throughout Thedas. They are a major organization with a lot of influence. We especially learn more of this in the Dragon Age book, Tevinter Nights. They are preparing to defend Antiva from qunari invasion.

Since Origins, Zevran is no longer a part of the Antivan Crows. After all, he failed in his contract to kill the Warden. However, that doesn’t stop artists from drawing him with a lot of crows! The art was made by vilyar.

8 Elves Together

There are three different backstories for elf Wardens in Origins. You can be from the mage tower, a city elf, or one of the Dalish. While all backstories are quite different, every path leads to being a Grey Warden and getting recruited by Duncan.

Zevran has little connection to any mages, Dalish, or city elves. He grew up in the Crow order. However, that does not mean he and the Warden cannot deeply understand one another. The art was made by withoutafuss.

7 Tarot Card

In Inquisition, each character got their own tarot card design. They could even change depending on how they develop in the story and from the players’ choices. That inspired many artists to make tarot cards of their own characters or characters from previous games, like Zevran!

Art was made by bottleshark. They have also made fan art for The Witcher, Fire Emblem, and more.

6 Romance

It can be difficult to not romance Zevran. He is funny, sweet, and really knows how to make moves on the player. However, if he really falls in love with your warden, then he changes a bit. He becomes scared, as most of his flirting at the beginning is just him playing around. When it gets serious, his character develops. It is great writing.

The art was made by Noctubaala.

5 Fighting Darkspawn

While Zevran is not a Grey Warden, he still fights a lot of Darkspawn in Origins. In the game, Darkspawn are all over Ferelden due to the coming Blight. Since most of the Grey Wardens are dead, it is up to you and Alistair and a ragtag team to fight back.

4 Playing With Fire

Some artists add tattoos to Zevran other than what he already has on his face. After all, he would be the sort of character that would have multiple tattoos on his person. According to the artist, they were inspired by an idea from someone else about Zevran being a fire poi performer.

3 Crows Under The Moon

This piece looks like another one that is inspired by the tarot cards of Inquisition. Of course, we need crows to symbolize the assassins guild. The red and blue colors are gorgeous, giving an aura of both calmness as well as violence.

The art was made by Mezamero.

2 Zevran And Tabris

This piece was a commission of someone’s Tabris Warden character. Tabris are the backstory of city elves, and it is definitely a tragic story. The game begins with a wedding and the origin story ends in bloodshed.

This realistic piece was made by vjatoch. They have done a lot of other Dragon Age characters such as Cullen, Alistair, Solas, and more.

1 A Murder Of Crows

The style of this fan art is quite intriguing. It looks like an image out of a noir-themed comic book due to the gray and black colors. The beautiful thing about Zevran is that you cannot really say if he has a bottle of booze or poison.

The art was made by someone fittingly named crowblooded. They are a Zevran role-play blog.
