Dishonored is a fantastic game with many hidden details scattered throughout its atmospheric world. With a significant focus on exploration, there are plenty of valuable items and loot for players to stumble upon throughout their adventures. There are precious runes to enhance Corvo’s supernatural powers. Players can also find bone charms (fortunately, they are not corrupted yet like they are in the sequel) to enhance their abilities. But it isn’t just the supernatural powers that players can upgrade. It is a good idea to keep Corvo’s many tools up to scratch if they want to stand a chance against the various deadly enemies in the game.

The city of Dunwall is an innovative place, with its fair share of inventors out there. They have been creating blueprints for various pieces of equipment, and fortunately, Corvo can stumble upon seven of these designs throughout the campaign. Some are easier to find than others, but they are all worth seeking out.

7 Lens Magnification

The various levels in the Dishonored Series are all beautifully crafted, so it would be a shame not to admire them in more detail. The Lens Magnification blueprint allows Corvo’s mask to zoom in even further than before, which is fantastic for planning out his route through each level.

This blueprint is also one of the easiest to get ahold of. During the High Overseer Campbell mission, Corvo can spot a man called Griff being harassed by some thugs. He has barricaded himself into the fishmonger shop in the Distillery District. Dispatching the thugs by any means necessary will allow Griff to return to running his totally legitimate… black market store. Corvo can spend 200 coins here to acquire the blueprint from the grateful shopkeeper.

6 Sokolov’s Formula

Corvo is bound to get hurt during his travels, whether it’s from getting into fights or slipping off the rooftops. Luckily, there is a handy health potion just waiting to be invented. Sokolov’s Formula is a must-have blueprint as it allows access to Sokolov’s Elixir for all the player’s healing needs. There are even a couple of bone charms that will enhance the amount of health each elixir will restore.

Conveniently, Corvo can also purchase this blueprint from Griff’s Curio shop in the Distillery District. Griff has been accommodating so far but is rather pricey. If players want to get this blueprint for free, they can instead hold off until they reach the Royal Physician mission. While encountering Anton Sokolov in his greenhouse, players will be able to spot the blueprint sitting on his desk right beside him.

5 Bonded Galvani Weave

To avoid further harm during combat, it is a good idea for Corvo to invest in some Bonded Galvani Weave. By finding this blueprint, players will be able to go to Piero at the Hound Pits Pub and upgrade their armor for the small fee of 600 coins. With this upgrade, Corvo will take less damage during combat, which is essential as the game increases in difficulty.

There are two places to find this blueprint. The first possible location is during the High Overseer Campbell mission. Players can head to the Back Yard area and break in through the roof of the workshop building. The blueprint is in a locked drawer. Luckily, the key is in a breakable bottle up on the nearby shelf.

Alternatively, if missed, players have a chance to collect the blueprint again during the Flooded District mission. It will be found in Daud’s chest at his office. Players will need the key first, which will require confronting Daud face to face or simply pickpocketing it off of him.

4 Incandescent Paste

During the House Of Pleasure mission, Corvo can find another handy blueprint. Emily, the very important kidnap-ee, can surely wait a few more minutes before being rescued. Meanwhile, players can head down to the Distillery building. Look for the control room sign near the entrance, and there will be a shutter ever so slightly open. Corvo can use the wheel adjacent to this gateway to open the shutters temporarily. He can then use blink to quickly jump into the room before the shutters close once more. Inside, the blueprint will be in the locker.

During the Flooded District mission, players can discover this blueprint again by heading to the basement near the Gateward tunnel entrance. It will be right on the nearby table.

Finding this blueprint gives Corvo access to Incendiary bolts. These bolts are filled with whale oil and will set enemies on fire upon impact. Corvo should make sure to keep himself at a safe distance when using them. Fire does burn, after all.

3 Folded Galvani Resin

Although Corvo can, of course, go into every mission swinging his sword around and causing mayhem, the quiet, stealth approach is often the best way to go. By finding the Folded Galvani Resin blueprint, Piero will be able to upgrade Corvo’s boots to make less sound as he’s running around (now he can silently cause mayhem).

Corvo can locate this blueprint in the very first warehouse he stumbles upon during the Royal Physician mission. To find it, head right from the Southside Bridgeway after being dropped off by Samuel. After that, sneak past the guards and look for the red sign stating authorized personnel only. Ignore that, and head inside. Players can venture up the stairs, and the blueprint will be resting on the desk, happily awaiting to be swiped.

2 Spiked Grenade Housing

Although the various supernatural abilities Corvo has to hand are excellent, sometimes a situation requires a more explosive approach. The Spiked Grenade Housing blueprint allows players to make use of sticky grenades. These grenades are handy against Tallboys, as they cannot remove the sticky bomb before it explodes.

The blueprint can be found while attending Lady Boyle’s last party. At the main entrance of the mansion, there is a security office just to the right. Corvo can slip past the guard and head towards a small desk, where he can grab the blueprint.

The Flooded District is once again a second chance to find this blueprint. After going through the Gateward tunnel, players can find it in the nearby warehouses’ rubble. It will be right in the corner near the entrance.

1 Small Scale Combustion Refinement

The Small Scale Combustion Refinement blueprint is the final design to find. It is a worthwhile blueprint for those on a more chaotic playthrough, as it gives access to explosive bullets. The bullets do require that Corvo gets his pistol upgraded by Piero to use them, but after that, Corvo’s enemies best beware.

This blueprint can be found during Corvo’s return to Dunwall Tower in the aptly named Return To The Tower mission. He can head to the second floor of the building to find General Tobias’ office. Avoiding all the security can be challenging, but the blueprint will be waiting on the table inside the office.

As with many of the other blueprints, players can discover this one once more during the Flooded District mission. After entering through the main doors into the Central Rudshore area, the blueprint can be seen straight ahead in an abandoned rail car. With this last blueprint, Corvo will have everything he needs to upgrade all of his great gear.
