There’s no end of trinkets, collectibles, and accessories in the Dishonored series. The player finds what feels straight out of Victorian Hot Topic between assassinations. For those playing Death of the Outsider, that means a little amateur art curation.

There are eight paintings hidden throughout the game. Some show up as part of mission side objectives and net you plenty of money for the black market if you’re strapped for cash.

For completionists, collecting all of them will unlock the “Art Aficionado” achievement. They only appear in the first three missions of the game, meaning it’s great for second playthroughs if you missed them the first time around.

One Last Fight - “The Outsider In Conditional Dreams”

The first painting is also the easiest to find and the only painting in that area. During Mission One, enter the Albarca Baths fight club.

Directly above the ring is a scoreboard; hanging prominently next to it is a familiar-looking painting. Simply enter the ring and look up towards it and you’ll be able to grab it.

Follow the Ink - “Impressions Of The Void No.3”

This one requires a little espionage, but just follow these steps:

  • From the starting area, go left directly and take the stairs up to an apartment. Here, you’ll need to neutralize the person inside, then read the document on their desk to get a secret knock. Once you have this, head back to the street level and go to Shan Yun’s house. You should be able to see a blocked door with a note attached. Use the secret knock, and dispose of the maid who arrives. From there, head up to the third floor and head through the door at the far right corner.

You’ll find the painting on the floor propped against a wall.

Follow the Ink - “Impressions Of The Void No.2”

This painting is found in Shan Yun’s room on the same level as Impressions of the Void No.3. If you’re picking this up straight after snagging the other painting, just go back towards the staircase and you should see a set of double doors leading to the room.

Deal with Shan Yun and his guards via your preferred level of mercy, and you’ll find the painting directly beside the double doors where you came in.

Follow the Ink - “The Summit Illuminated”

Once you’ve gotten rid of Shan Yu and snagged his paintings, there’s only one left in this mission. Follow these steps to get it:

  • Exit his house through the secret knock door. Take the street to the right which leads to a pair of metal gates. Once you’re through the gates, look left and you should see the Cienfuegos Pharmacy. Use displace to get on top of the awning and then climb through the window.

The last painting in this mission is directly ahead of you.

The Bank Job - “Luca Abele, Self Portrait”

This is another painting that requires a little detective work. Here are the steps to get the “Luca Abele, Self Portrait” painting:

  • Head to the canal where a large boat is docked with two guards. If you exited “Follow The Ink” using a skiff rather than a rail car, your boat should also be docked in this area. Take out the enemies then dive underneath the boat they were guarding. You should be able to see a body floating against its underside. Loot it, then go back topside and climb onto the boat.

Through a locked door on the deck, you’ll find the portrait at the end of the room on the left - along with a few useful items.

The Bank Job - “The Lonely Rat Boy”

Prior to this mission, make sure you discuss the Pharmacist with Daud in your briefing. This will give you a side objective leading to their shop where a note can be found on the door. The mission marker should then shift to lead you to Teresia Cienfuegos’ apartment on Fellera Way. She’ll inform you about an auction where you can find poppy tincture.

How you approach the auction is up to you. Stealthily disguise yourself and participate or just go full maniac on everyone in the building. Either way, the next painting is being displayed on the auction stage, ready to be grabbed.

The Bank Job - “Impressions Of The Void No.4”

Use your entry method of choice to gain entrance to the Dolores Michaels Deposit and Loan. Using Poppy Tincture on the roof vents makes this job much easier if you have it.

On the third floor of the building, there is a large circular area that overlooks the rest of the bank. You’ll know if you’re in the right place if you can hear a gramophone. Walk around the rotunda, and you’ll find painting number seven hanging proudly on the wall.

The Bank Job - “Impressions Of The Void No.1”

The final painting is also located in the Dolores Michaels Bank. Follow these steps to acquire it:

  • From the atrium, go to the stairwell and head down to Level -1 where the floor is electrified. Use Displace to teleport on top of the box on the floor directly in front of you. Look left. Above a blocked door, there’s a small metal ledge and a hole into the room beyond. Displace onto the ledge, then Displace on top the shelves inside the room.

Drop down on the right side of the shelves, and you’ll find the last painting resting on top of a box.
