Digimon has built a cult following over the last few years, largely based on the popularity of the multiple Digimon anime series and movies. Instead the film will be released on Blu-ray and DVD later this year.

Interestingly enough, the English language home release has been announced before the Japanese one, which is unusual in the world of anime. This is most likely because the film was released in Japanese theaters before the Coronavirus hit.
