THQ Nordic has announced that it will be unleashing Destroy All Humans! upon the world on July 28, 2020. Coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia, this remake/reboot looks to update the beloved cult-classic for the modern era with a slew of new graphical effects and gameplay systems. It certainly had a positive showing at E3 2019, which put fans at ease.
A new trailer doesn’t show off much we didn’t already know, apart from the date. It mainly exists to confirm that much. If you’re wondering about cost, there’s going to be various different editions of the game with a variety of price ranges. The base game will go for $29.99 on PC and $39.99 on consoles, so it’s not a big ask. It’s more the “Crypto-137 Edition” that’s a little insane at $399.
A fancy collector’s edition kind of makes sense for this series, though. Fans really ate it up back on the PS2 and Xbox and have been dying to see a return for more than a decade. While a full-on sequel would have been nice, the reboot doing well could certainly lead to new installments.
Whatever happens, we won’t have much longer to wait to get our hands on this.
